Wow!; we actually hit episode 75 of the POWCast, who would’ve thought this was possible?
On this week’s show, we start by discussing the game’s we’ve been playing recently, which range from Skyrim to Farcry 3 to Punch Quest (an iOS title.) Afterwards, Malistre has to excuse himself to finish Bodach’s Christmas present to his son (a MASSIVE high-end PC) and fix Bodach’s borked PS3 HDD and the rest of the crew discuss the November 2012 NPD results in detail.
Malistre returns at the end of the conversation as it has dovetailed into Wii and Gamecube discussion and the question is laid out, which has the superior software lineup? I show my Wii-hating bias, although I do have a favorite Wii game I’ve played on the Wii at my cousin’s house (and now own on PS3,) and the rest of the crew comes down with their decisions with Bodach siding more with me and Rich and Ross coming down on the side of the Wii.
After talking games, NPD’s, and Wii vs. Gamecube for over an hour, we briefly touch on the announcements coming out of the VGA’s in terms of game releases and Valve head Gabe Newell kinda sort of saying once Big Picture mode works with Linux Valve would be in the business of making its own box. I feel the Linux part of that is key but Malistre disagrees.
Guaranteed to be the only podcast (well I don’t listen to IGN’s Nintendo Voice Chat) that tackles Wii vs. Gamecube, come listen to our wonderful show not just for that discussion, but our experience at retail compared to the nationwide NPD numbers.

Personally, I believe Skyward Sword to be phenomenal even for a Zelda game. I enjoyed Wind Waker quite a bit, but I have to say Skyward Sword has topped it in my opinion.
